Wild Edible & Medicinal Plants

Come get to know your plant friends and allies. We will learn five edible and medicinal plants that live in the North Carolina piedmont. We will look at how to identify these plants and tell them apart from others that look like them. We will get to know each plant in terms of where it lives, how it grows and what makes it special. When does this plant provide food? When, how and what parts do you gather for medicine? Can this plant be used to make things we need such as tools, crafts, dyes or soap? We will do some foraging together and see what we can find to eat!
